  • 2867 EC - The island of Torica begins to construct floating docks around the island in an attempt to expand living space for their growing population, while not impacting areas used to raise crops. Priests and priestesses of Niomae aid in keeping the tides and waves from interfering until stabilization of the floating platforms is complete.
  • 2867 EC- Farmlands around High Reaches continue to be attacked by roaming bands. About half the farms are razed to the ground before being able to produce crops for the summer.
  • 2867 EC - All of the Syl'vae around Eramere are recalled to Maer'Havel. Tight lipped as always, but the fact that every single Syl'vae have been recalled is troubling to all.
  • 2876 EC - A magnificent flash of light is seen coming from the direction of Tir'Ehtele. Those that have ventured within the forest previously would noticed that the flash had come from the approximate location of Maer'Vanim. Syl'vae guards are posted near the city, and warn off any travelers stating that a shield of energy now keeps the city of Maer'Vanim contained; any that venture past the shield will be trapped, unable to return.

  • 2869 EC - The area around Atalan becomes increasingly unstable, and the Obelisk begins throwing out distortions all across Eramere. Several teleporting mages find themselves half buried in walls, and even more horrific places. Patches of null magic, and wild magic appear and disappear with no warning and seemingly at random, and tales of travelers beset by vicious manifestations abound.
  • 2870 EC - High Magus Gralin Hovis leaves High Reaches with a large number of Atalan-born volunteers, heading towards Atalan, with no expectation to return. Members of the expedition trickle back some weeks later, most with the same story; they were unable to continue due to fear, injury, or both. A few however, including the High Magus never return, but the disturbances from the Obelisk have ended. Atalan itself is still an unstable area, perhaps permanently damaged by the fluctuations of the Obelisk that made it famous.
  • 2870 EC - The Guild Hall for The GLADTOMU is completed within High Reaches and marks the first entirely new construction within the city of High Reaches. Guild members are provided with lodgings and simple fare, while agreeing to patrol the surrounding countryside.
  • 2873 EC - Gnomes are becoming increasingly scarce. Visitors are still allowed within THIMBLE, but are only allowed in a small area newly designated Temporary Outsiders Marketplace To Offer Merchandise. Any Gnomes that can be seen are haggard and frazzled. They respond to inquires about Gnomish state of affairs with: "Everything is fine. Nothing is wrong."
  • 2874 EC - Rumors out of the Omgi-Ztehh say that the Orcs have suffered a massive schism caused by an intense Onim, splitting into two distinct groups. One seems to have moved into the Omgi-Ztehh proper, while the other group seems to have headed deep into the Val'mordja Hills.
  • 2875 EC - Reports trickle in of a massive skirmish in the Sandspires between a band of GLAD members and Udgnar Bugbears while rescuing Haerkglar miners. It is said that they were able to rescue all but one group of miners, while one of the GLAD members suffered massive injuries causing the loss of an eye. The Haerkglar honored the dead and the members of the GLAD party with a feast lasting three days.
  • 2875 EC - Twisted Orcs have been seen raiding across the Ardena bridge. Travel near the bridge or even into the swamp has become incredibly dangerous with one such an attack decimating a contingent of GLAD members.
  • 2876 EC - A band of Orcs dedicated to Lethe arrive within High Reaches. One of their member, Grahltak, informs the Council that she is the new Orc Councilor as chosen by her people. Grahltak informs the Council that Lethe has charged the remaining Orcs with the task of gathering as much knowledge as possible to keep it safe. To that end the Orcish contingent requests access to all High Reaches libraries so their transcribing can begin. She also informs all that Senescia is no longer worshiped by true Orcs, and only the Ghrymzuqal or Fallen Orcs follow the Lady of Rot. She offers part of her contingent to aid in the destruction of the Fallen wherever they are found.
  • 2878 EC - A massive horde of Ghrymzuqal emerges from the swamp and overwhelms the scout outpost at the Ardena. Senescia's forces strike against a few fledgling villages and begin to burn farmlands. A combination of GLAD members and the Field Force from High Reaches halts the rampage of the Senescia forces, however, Captain Kargan Theihad is slain by the Orc leader. Efforts to bring the good captain back to life fail, prompting some to believe Kargan had found the end he wished for, while others are unsure if Senescia's Orcs are capable of negating the return of their slain foes.
  • 2878 EC - An undead horde of smaller creatures erupts from the sands around Torica and besieges the people. The Knights of the Golden Rose and The Eternal Sentinels managed to fight back the hordes of undead along with the people of Torica. Tragically, Sentinel Alexander Griffith gave his life in the defense of Torica but was the deciding factor that granted the people of Torica victory. Due in part to the heavy losses suffered during the attack and the demise of their leader, the Eternal Sentinels disbanded formerly and were absorbed into the Knights of the Golden Rose, who chose to rename themselves The Knights of the Shield in honor of Alexander's sacrifice. Sentinel Griffith's battered shield, serves as the groups symbol and hangs within their chapter hall.
  • 2880 EC - Construction is completed on a small bunker at the Ardena Bridge that would offer the Field Force of the High Reaches Militia better protection against another wave of Ghrymzuqal. Due to outcry from the Orcs, the bridge into the Omgi-Ztehh has not yet been cut as they wish to keep an eye on the movement within the swamp.
  • 2883 EC: Expeditions near the Kobolds and Taurocs have begun to go smoother than in recent memory. It seems both races are missing their sorcerous fighters that normally leveled the playing field with adventurers. Nothing concrete about the declining level of sorcerers among the kobolds and taurocs is obvious. It raises concerns about the Obelisk and other races pool of sorcerers.
  • 2884 EC - Cameron Hovis, a reputable mage within the Arcane University of High Reaches hires GLADTOMU members to accompany him on an expedition to Atalan. All the members return, but report that the city is still uninhabitable due to an infestation of manifestations. The rifts however seem to have abated completely, and odd reports that the manifestations killed no one, but simply rendered them unconscious, and removed them from the city continue to puzzle scholars. Cameron Himself refuses to comment on the events, and has made no effort to return.

  • 2904 EC - Rainfall was down dramatically. If not for the sophisticated irrigation techniques developed by the Haerkglar and Halmorians of High Reaches, many of the crops would have failed. While the Chorav had a supremely comfortable spring north of the Daiobi for once, everyone else is praying for the heat to break.
  • 2904 EC - A great artifact of Niomae is discovered and put to use by her priests and priestesses. Mayrie Mark'ilas dies in a mysterious magical accident when she becomes involved with study of the artifact.
  • 2904 EC - The Heralds of Decay, a faction within the ranks of Senescia's followers make themselves known and demand recognition of their claim on the Omgi-Zteh. Thus starts the War of the Restless.
  • 2905 EC - The War of the Restless. Unwilling to accept the demands of the Harolds of Decay, the races of Eramere find themselves under siege. The undead begin to rse everywhere, choking off trade and levelling smaller communities. It is rumored that an aspect of Senescia, herself manifests as part of the Heralds' deeds. Torica is all but destroyed. The priestess Maeva Tovir sacrifices herself to destroy one of Senescia's points of power, effectively ensuring that the dead of High Reaches did not rise up in service of the Heralds. The haerkglar, led by Ulfgar, Speaker of the Stone and first of the hrasonai, are the first to win a major victory over the undead, not only surviving a siege of Skolden'fel, but emerging from the fortress to beat back the undead masses. Their numbers insufficient for the task at hand, the Heralds eventually lose control of the undead when their true identities are revealed and they become the hunted. The last vestiges of their grand plan fall away into nothingness when the one known as The Mask of Senescia, Bothan Dallanson was killed on an expedition beneath Snowmyst Lake.

The Kutaran monk Terenshan came back with tales of a statue-like man who had wondrous powers.
  • 2926EC: An instructor from the University known as Mr. Sands pays a group of adventurers to investigate some ruins in the desert. Rumors come back that they encountered a previously unknown group of people in the desert. A great heat wave takes to the land, causing a drought, and some connect this with the people found in the Daiobi. The Karr become unusually active, taking the Heat wave as a call to arms from Scorsheth.
  • 2926EC: Winter never comes, instead it is what feels like another pleasant spring, though this one wracked with intense storms. The Karr continue their campaign across Eramere. Several more expeditions into the deep desert are mounted.
  • 2927EC: The long summer continues, and crops across the continent begin to suffer. The Karr nearly sack the town of Bad Water, but are thrown back with aid from adventurers and the Crimson Crusade. It is discovered that these 'Valikor' are indeed the reason behind the change in weather, attempts to negotiate are met with violence.
  • 2927EC: The Karr army is defeated by combined forces from High Reaches, the Crimson Crusade, and Haerkglar in a harrowing campaign season. Adventurers manage to steal and destroy the artifact the Valikor were using to alter the weather, averting the worst of some ecological disasters.
