Maer'Havel

Considered one of the wonders of Eramere, the spires of Maer'Havel stretch delicately into the clouds overhead like the fingers of a lady gently running her fingers through sliver wisps of hair. From a distance the wonder that is Maer'Havel can only be caught in shimmering glimpses as it blends near perfectly with the shape of the land and the surrounding woods.

Stepping out from the canopy or looking over the lake near Maer'Havel allows one to gaze at the majesty of another time. The stone of the buildings flow and sway in the wind much like that of the adjacent trees. Cut so precisely the worked stone has and needs no mortar as each piece fits perfectly with its neighbors. Never before or after have the Rwokglar shaped stone above ground as they did when they seemingly coaxed Maer'Havel and the earlier majesty that was Maer'Vanim out of the ground.

It is said that Maer'Havel was the Rwokglaren's second best work after shaping the miracle that was Maer'Vanim, but all that walk the paved streets of Maer'Havel and gaze upon the impossibly thin spires, the far reaching slender bridges that connect neighboring towers, or any of its other wonders cannot but help being struck by the sense of awe and grace that manages to warmly embrace them. A feeling of hope and safety radiates from the air as it moves through and around both the people and buildings.

Even those that have never visited Maer'Havel before are filled with a sense of coming home upon their first and subsequent visits to the city within the woods. The beauty and care that is preserved in the stone of Maer'Havel is a reflection of what the Syl'vae were once like and perhaps in time will be again.
