As Syl'vae are reluctant to speak of their greatest tragedy, few details are known to most humans about the subject.
What is known, is that the Syl'vae were not always besieged by the undead, as they were for the past century until only a few decades ago. They once had a sister city within the Tir'Ehtele, as marvelous as Maer'Havel, which they call Maer'Vanim.
They call the fateful day in which this city was lost to them, the Rise of the Restless. It was on this day that shambling husks of those once living attacked directly, revealing the horrors of the undead for the first time in history.
Over a century of battling this foe has changed the Syl'vae forever more.
