TEST
From Myths of Atalan Wiki
A haven to almost all Gnomes, TEST has become quite the peaceful island. THIMBLE, the Gnome city, was built inside the island's active volcano.
However, Gnome genius is in no way restricted to the depths of the volcano. Inventions abound and creativity runs wild on the entire east side of this island in the sea. Around every turn in THIMBLE one can discover innovation and tinkerers.
To the west, outside of the volcano, explorers find a not so developed, but calm and arid beach land. From the west to the east, trees dot the land. A couple of hills roll across the island as well. One hill is known simply as Hill One and the other is known equally as simply as Hill Two. Both hills are popular sites for Gnome experiments dealing with gravity and flight.
To the northeast of THIMBLE lies the island's most heavily wooded area. Though this area has the most abundant supply of wood, it is by no means a forest. The richest soil is found on this northern coast, and Hill Two protects this fertile area of trees from harsh winds rolling in from the ocean. Rocks flank this patch of land to the east and west providing protection from harsh and high tides. Due to such natural barriers, the trees and fertile soil are protected from the winds and water.
At the southernmost point of this island, just south of Hill One, there is a cave entrance. If a Gnome explores deep enough, the path is said to lead to the sea. The reason Gnomes are said to venture through this cave system is mainly to find unique supplies for alchemy that are found nowhere else. What dangers exist deep within and what other purpose the cave may serve, no one can really tell. Regardless, Gnomes frequent this southern area quite often.
TEST is certainly an island filled will excitement and adventure, but most importantly it is where the curious Gnome people strive to invent the future each and every day.
