Maer'Vanim

The twin sister to the marvelous Maer'Havel fell long before any humans stepped off the first boats to arrive at Atalan. Rumors of rumors still existed about this city, and speaking of it or asking the Syl'vae served only to stop the conversation, usually earning guarded and angry looks. It is clear from what was grudgingly said about the once splendid city that the fall of Maer'Vanim is even now quite a touchy subject for the Syl'vae, and that its fall came about because of the Restless. It is assumed that the city is deep within territory once controlled by the Restless, as the few words spoken by the Syl'vae typically included: lost, haunted, and tragedy, among others.

Rumours now speak however, of the city being reclaimed, and held for a number of years, before alas it was lost once more...
