Arrest Procedures

The Militia handles all the arrests within High Reaches.

Judgment procedures

• The severity of the Crime will dictate the judgment procedures.
• Militia Commanders can handle the judgment of all petty crimes.
• Any major crime must be dealt with by Tribunal of Three Councilors. The Councilor of the offending race may not sit in judgment.
• Any offender has the right to file an appeal to have his or her case heard by a Tribunal.

Petty Crimes

Theft
Robbery
Burglary
Assault
Public Disturbance
Indecent Exposure
Bribing – Attempt/Acceptance
Resisting arrest
Any other unlisted crime that is judged petty in the eyes of the City Force Commander after arrest.

Major Crimes

Kidnapping
Murder in High Reaches
Conspiracy to commit murder in High Reaches
Any other unlisted crime that is judged major in the eyes of the City Force Commander after arrest.

Punishment

Standard punishments:

Petty

Fines (From 100 gold pieces to 50,000. Cumulative per crime).
Maximum seven days (IRL) in jail

Major

Maximum seven days (IRL) in jail
Banishment from High Reaches

Alternative Punishment:

Depending on the gravity of the charges. At the discretion of the Militia or Council.
