Tavrin is a Torican born man who grew up idolizing the Knights and their work. He was a hopeful to join the Order of the Golden Rose but after the tragic events that led to the death of Sentinel Griffith and the combination of the Order and the Sentinels, Tavrin vowed he would do both leaders proud. Tavrin was one of the first Squires sworn into service as a new member of the Knights. He served and during the events of the invasion by Kalimvar and Halmor forces he earned a field promotion to the rank of Sergeant and continued his exemplary service for the next twenty years, earning the rank of Marshal in the winter of 2902.

Tavrin is a well liked man, humble but devoted to the cause of the Knights. He has bred a reputation for hearing all sides of an argument or discussion before deciding his opinion and has been known to change his position if offered sufficient evidence that he had been in the wrong. The fact that Tavrin was born and raised within the island make him a natural negotiator when it comes to disputes between the Kalimvarans and the Toricans.
