Hanna Gregorius
From Myths of Atalan Wiki
Name: Hanna Gregorius (Deceased)
Rank: Commander City Force
Gender: Female
Age: 70
Born just before the fall of Atalan, Hanna, was the daughter of Legionaire Octavian Gregorius. Octavian was one of the few Legionaires that foreswore his native country and stayed within Atalan when the Halmorian Empire withdrew. Octavian managed to escape the city with Hanna, though her mother and his wife Alette perished during the exodus of the city. Upon reaching High Reaches, Octavian established himself as a metalworker, but did not join the Militia as a full member. Despite his obvious qualifications, he did not believe he could not raise a daughter and risk his life in military service.
Hanna grew up helping her father in his metalworking shop and at nights her father would instruct her in a variety of topics related to self defense and soldiering. Hanna attended the University of High Reaches where she learned a great deal about the world around her and displayed a keen mind. Despite her long hours of study within the University, Hanna, never missed a lesson with her father, and eventually her skills with a blade became more than a match for many serving within the Militia. Upon reaching the age of adulthood, Hanna enrolled in the Militia and started her career out in the Field Force so she could seek her own adventure while helping to protect her home. Upon reaching the rank of Warden, her father fell ill and Hanna requested a transfer to the City Force so that she could spend more time with her aging and ill father.
Hanna continued to win her way up the ranks and managed the rank of Lieutenant when only thirty-five years of age, however, her father took a turn for the worse and passed shortly thereafter. Octavian was the one anchor for Hanna and with his passing she threw herself into her duties. Hanna continued her march up the chain of command, reaching Commander at the age of fifty. Hanna became infamous for her strict running of the City Force. It was said, outside of Hanna's hearing, that it was safer to stare down a Karr than be called in by Commander Gregorius for disciplinary report. Even Captain Bouldertosser prefers to avoid Hanna if he can, however, all within the Militia would rather have Commander Gregorius at their side when in the thick of it.
