Gunther Reynoldt
From Myths of Atalan Wiki
Name: Gunther Reynoldt
Titles: Templar, Atalan's Executioner
Appearance: Gunther was an imposing Halmorian, a tall and broad Adonis with an intense stare. A grin that is both jovial and merciless makes all but the most fearless warriors act with care in his presence. He was light on his feet for such a lumbering, heavily armored man. A few gray streaks in his otherwise full, black head of hair betrayed his advancing age. Gunther had Faergol's symbol tattooed over the metacarpals of each hand.
Bio: A distinguished man, Gunther was Atalan's executioner and a Templar charged with protecting his mother, the Hierophant. Some people joke there were two Gunthers, each with a personality opposed to the other's. When Gunther was socializing, he was jovial and personable towards friends, strangers, and enemies alike. His executions were parties with plenty of ale paid for with his own coin and the deed was always done with a dash of showmanship. When someone raised objection to these spectacles, he is quick to point out that Faergol and the people deserve to be entertained.
When his mother made a public appearance he was solemn and dutiful. He tended to her every need, dedicated in making her decline to death as comfortable and dignified as possible. It was clear that no one ought to approach his ward without his permission. His fighting style was dirty, brutal, and relentless.
Gunther fell during the fall of Atalan while fighting off a number of swarming snakemen.
