Garrum Ulgak
From Myths of Atalan Wiki
Name: Garrum Ulgak
Titles: Curate of Memnos' Sect, The Harvest Guardian
Appearance:
This Valkshir was in his fourties when High Reaches was first founded. Most would remember him as in his sixties, where he would keep his gray hair cropped short. He had thoughtful eyes, a civilized demeanor and a muscular frame. Garrum still seemed comfortable when wearing heavy armor, though he was usually seen in simple cloth.
Bio:
Agriculture and the harvest were once foreign concepts to Garrum, who hailed from the unforgiving Valka northlands, a region known for permafrost. He traveled south to Halmoria out of curiosity, a young man eager to see what the world offered. Tall and strong, Garrum supported himself by finding work as a farmhand. He genuinely enjoyed the work and choose to keep at it. During this time, he discovered his profound faith in Memnos. Garrum joined the House of Concordant Cycles and eventually became a nomadic Predicant, spreading agricultural knowledge across the land and helping farmers to fight off bandits when necessary.
Garrum was among the first settlers in Atalan. While Halmorian laborers efficiently constructed farming villages in the Torverra Plains, Garrum joined the Legion in defending them from the dangers of Eramere. The peasants sometimes called him The Harvest Guardian for these efforts, though it was his down to earth attitude and insistence on helping with labor that won them over. The Curate was devastated when the village vanished mere weeks after the project's completion. These were his friends and he has resolved to discover their fate. Garrum insisted that the House and the city of Atalan dedicate itself to this task, but to no avail.
After reaching High Reaches, Garrum began to be seen less frequently, as he settled within the farmlands himself, until his death a few years later.
