Description: Bartelby was an old man who had seen much of the world. His skin was stretched and wrinkly, what's left of his hair was white and gray, as well as wispy. He stood at the height of around 5'7", though he was of course bent by age so his original height was hard to guess at. He seemed a little plump, having lived the life of elderly ease in mercantile business. Even for his age he seemed a jovial fellow, quick to smile at something and make a joke about it. He often could be seen squinting to see in the distance, after all his vision wasn't what it used to be, but he adamantly refused to wear glasses. He was usually in a uniform particular of performers.

Bio: Bartelby was from the Halmorian mainland. Born to an average middle-class family who specialized in selling goods to the local Artl'y House and other theater institutions, it was clear to see where Bartelby got his life's dream. His childhood was easy enough, and he was readily educated. When Eramere was discovered Bartelby was already a man in his own right in Halmoria, operating his family business with efficiency. However, competition was rising in his region in regards to his business, and with the word of Eramere being discovered and a few Noble Houses going there as well, he decided to liquidate his own Halmorian holdings and follow. He quickly rose in favor with Margravine Faustina and Margrave Heinrich of House van Ottrius after they learned of his origins and talent, and eventually granted him the right to run transactions with the Silver Pieces Mercantile in regards to supplying the Odeum Legendas, a position he held until leaving for the Mainland when loyal Halmorians were recalled.
