Name: Aulus Marius

Faith: Ephaesus

Biography: Halmorian, Aulus was typically very thoughtful and deliberate in nature. Often described as stern or intense, he somehow managed to appear so, even when his familiar, a singularly sleepy, lazy rabbit, sits perched atop his head, snoozing. A cat or two often wandered with or around him, more in his personal spaces, such as his office. A former Obelisk Agent, adept of the Obsidian Academy, and priest, Aulus brought a variety of experiences to his calling, teaching and instructing.

Aulus favored a system of apprenticeship and practical instruction in fields other than the arcane, to help prepare those who wished to become mages. To him, the actual working of a spell was the easiest and least part of what it is to practice the mage's craft and wield power, and Aulus, even when he was younger, always a student of power in it's myriad forms.

He was the author of the work On Mages and prepared many new copies of the tome for those who studied from him. He served as an instructor at the Arcane University of High Reaches, and had a reputation for treating every apprentice differently, according to their needs and abilities, when they came to him for advanced studies.

His hair was long, in a ponytail, with gray streaking the black, and a trimmed but bushy beard along his jaw. He often favored robes, though more often than not, those robes were laid over the chain of the Obelisk Agents, which did nothing to hinder his ability to work a spell when necessary.
