Description:
Dark short hair with burns and scars scattered across his body and face. He's generally stoic and follows a less is more approach to casual conversation. His orders are concise and clear, and his uniform is clean, if a little worn.

History:
Ten years ago, a field force was tasked with the elimination of high-ranking Karr warrior Dragnuz in a camp stationed in a cave in the southern mountains, along the rescue of four university students captured in an unfortunate expedition. Warden Katherine Vaerdaaga was still recovering from injuries from a previous skirmish with the Karr, so Warden Sprick stepped in to cover her role. Once the team arrived however, they were faced with an ambush, and prioritized securing the prisoners during the combat. After rescuing the prisoners, the team was cornered in the cave by Karr warriors with no means of escape. Sprick held back the Karr as the students were healed, and discovered that a brutal glossectomy performed on one of the students previously prevented one of the students from teleporting the group out. With their vocal components restored, the group had a means, but a constant pelting of fire spells from behind Sprick's line prevented them from reaching him, and at his heated request, they evacuated, leaving Sprick behind.

The rescue was declared a success, but with one casualty and the execution of Dragnuz a failure. One week later however, Sprick limped back into High reaches, covered in wounds and improvised bandages. His first words were to report Dragnuz was killed in battle. While he was being treated, High Reaches celebrated him as a hero, and the following week he was awarded a medal of valor? (I feel like this needs a good name, we need good medals).

Within the next two years, Council member Ker'lueth Di'Malen took the opportunity to push for a previously dismissed proposal of a joint special forces unit. With the recent events regarding the Senescian undead and the Karr, and using Sprick as a figurehead to represent it, the organization was passed and Sprick was placed in command of the DEAD Squad.

Sprick doesn't talk much about what happened after the evacuation, and his report has yet to be confirmed. Still, nobody has heard anything of Dragnuz since that day so nobody's ever questioned it.
