Herger Helmundur - "The Axe Hurler"
Valkshir Legend
During the battle with the Halmorian Empire, many legends and tales were born within the tribes of the Valkshir. One warrior's name would become common within the tribes. A warrior known as Herger Helmundur, who, during the early battles with the Halmorian Empire would prove a skilled and brutal Axe Thrower, giving him the title "Herger The Axe Hurler".
It was said Herger alone claimed the lives of 30 Halmorian soldiers in a single battle, later this number would climb as the tale was told each time, one surpassing the other. 30 soon turned into 100 and 100 would finally stretch to 300 Halmorian Soldiers claimed by the Axe Hurlers' iron.
Some would describe the man as having the largest forearms and shoulders in all of the Valkshir tribes, being able to hurl an axe through iron slabs or even thick elder tree trunks. Others would even go as far as to say the Axe Hurler would someday return to claim the title of Haegrim and destroy the Halmorians. The actual identity of Herger would soon be forgotten, simply, swallowed by the sands of time. It is said that Herger had changed his name in shame of their peoples defeat. Some older and more experienced warriors believe that Herger is still north, alone and frozen in time, in a den of ice only to someday awaken and redeem the Valkshir tribes.
As the years went on Herger would simply become a tall-tale told around campfires to stir the younger Valkshir men in hopes that they would strive to someday become like the legendary Axe Hurler himself. The name "Herger" itself would later become Valkshir slang, a term used to describe a flawless victory over ones enemy, or used to describe something of large mass; "What lies before you, is a forest herger in trees and creatures.
