Alestra is easily the largest city on Eramere, yet no one knows how Alestra got it's name. This pretty city on the Ardena boasts a large population of both humans and Chorav, as well as some Haerkglar, Syl'vae, Gnomes and Orcs. Alestra is well known as a source of topaz and amethyst, as well as the best place to find very well made baskets. In the past five centuries Alestra has become sort of the spiritual successor to High Reaches. The grand city is home to a diverse community that seeks to live in peace above most other things. That being said, while a number of adventurers are from Alestra, not many stay there. The city welcomes their trade and commerce, but is not keen on them staying for long periods of time, as adventurers often bring more trouble then they are worth.
