Growing up, Aurora Salvitus was the envy of her female peers and the object of desire for most of the young boys. Quiet and reserved, Aurora grew up with her progressive, integration-minded Halmorian parents, tending to one of the feeder farms for High Reaches. At a young age, her parents sent her into the city to be educated. There, she made her parents proud, a fine example of her heritage, and capable scholar. Despite her standing amongst her peers, Aurora showed no interest in being a typical hormonal teenager. Nor was she ever one to fully embrace being integrated with the cosmopolitan life of High Reaches. Instead, Aurora did her best to make her parents proud, while not losing sight of living a full and meaningful life – or Gunther Fogulson, a descendant of the Valkshir, who like her, was sent to more completely integrate with High Reaches society.

A year older than Aurora, Gunther left to serve his time in the Field Force militia. During this time, Aurora made very frequent trips to the shrine of Fraeyal within the Temple of the Hymn, where she would offer up prayers to Gunther’s patron overseer, asking for his safe return. So often were her visits and so devoted was she to her prayers, that she was eventually asked if she might consider taking the vows of a Fraeyalite priestess. Aurora chose to take the vows, whereupon Gunther also returned home from his time of mandatory service. The two are now married, Gunther still serving to protect his people as an accomplished member of the militia, Aurora with her unwavering devotion, now a Votarist of her faith.
