Description: Selkirk is the classic salty seadog. Slightly shorter than average and quite stocky, his shoulders broad from many years of hauling sail and climbing rigging. His skin is quite dark and leathery from his many years in the sun, his bright sky blue eyes gleaming from a hooded gaze. He wears his long grey hair in a braided queue, and while not cleanly shaven, does not sport a full beard. His clothing is nondescript, consisting mainly of cream tunics and dark pantaloons, but will often sport a colored bandanna on his head.

Bio: Until recently, Selkirk's life has always revolved around the sea. At the age of 11, he signed on to a merchanting ship, abandoning a fairly unpromising baker's apprenticeship. Capable and tough, Selkirk served on a fair number of ships over the years, fulfilling his duties and contracts with few infractions, but also with few outstanding merits. As his age grew, he started thinking of his retirement prospects, and decided to sign on to a fairly dangerous expedition, hoping to snag a fat purse with which to pad his retirement nestegg.

It was on this expedition that he met Maggie May, a brusque and dashing mercenary. Inexplicably, the two formed a bond, and together they quickly and efficiently formed and executed plans to open what was to become The Frothing Otter Tavern.

Rough of voice and manner and colorful of speech, Selkirk keeps a tight ship at The Frothing Otter, managing things with a fair but harsh discipline. To those who are exceptionally keen of eye, occasionally one will see him looking toward the sea with a thoughtful expression on his face.
