Atalan - Church District
The church district, commonly referred to as the worship district as well, was obviously home to the House of Concordant Cycles. Also, within the church district the Obsidian Academy can be found. The House of Concordant Cycles is a unique building in Atalan because of it's shape and the fact that is was found much as is currently is, with the correct number of rooms to house a representative for each overseer. While this could mean that the original inhabitants of Atalan were worshiping the same Overseers as the Halmorians who have arrived there, many people wrote this off as coincidence. In any case, this was the most logical place for the HoCC to set up camp.
The Academy is a more simple building, if any buildings within Atalan can be referred to as simple. It's clean lines and basic layout attracted the logical minds of the scholars and the building has since been secured and established as their own.
The Church District was the source of a number of disturbances over the years due to the presence of The Obelisk. Most notable were the events of the Summer 988IY when The Varpathian attempted to get free and was struck down by both the Overseers and a dragon.
The resulting rifts between realms make the area more than unsafe, and it is not recommended for the unwary to attempt approach.
