Custom Wand Crafting

Myths of Atalan utilizes a custom wand crafting system and not the stock NWN2 system. This custom crafting system allows crafters of wands to add metamagic to the spells contained in the wand, so long as the resulting spell level (after metamagic increases) still does not exceed level 4. Another benefit of this custom wand system is that wands can now reflect the caster level of the wand's creator.

The process for crafting a wand is as follows:

• Obtain a bone and carve it into a bone wand using the carving tool
• Apply silver wire to the wand
• Engrave (not cut) the spell runes onto the appropriate gem using the engraving tool
• Cast the desired spell onto the engraved gem
• Apply the enchanted gem to the carved and silvered wand
