Jerimiah Belatorii

Jerimiah is in his mid forties, with crows feet lingering around his eyes, and wisps of grey flowing throughout his once raven black hair. His skin is tan, but the natural sort, not the tan earned by a hard life's work out in the fields. He wears a pair of glasses with a gold trim, and most often dresses in a fine blue suit.

Jerimiah was once a relatively unknown figure, coming onto the scene about twenty years ago or so, when he set up a rival to Toren shipping in High Reaches. Through close contacts in Torica, and some suspect across the sea, Jerimiah was able to secure a monopoly on several of Marcus Toren's key shipping routes. Once Ashley Norstrom died, Jerimiah pounced, and took the rest of Marcus' business. Marcus likely could have kept his native contracts had he tried, but seemed a bit despondent after his wife's passing.

Jerimiah again went after Marcus Toren a couple years later, this time aiming for his Council seat, which he won by a small margin. Marcus tried to retake his seat during the next election, but this time was beaten in a landslide, with many questioning his age. Since then Jerimiah has sat on the Council and has worked to expand trade throughout Eramere, and beyond. He has maintained his contacts in Torica, and has set up a trading envoy with both the Kalimvarans and the Halmorians, and has through these agreements brought significant wealth to High Reaches. He remains a popular figure throughout the city.
