Also known as the Death brigades, as those who join their ranks often never leave. The Speclatorii are the elite crack troops of the Legion, often taking on such missions that to all others would spell certain death. While it's true that they take on unthinkable odds, and many within their ranks to do not live to see the end of their enlistment, it is also true that none but the greatest forces can halt the Speclatorii from achieving their mission.

The Imperitor reserves the right to sentence those who he deems to service in the Speclatorii, which for all intents and purposes is usually a death sentence, but it at least gives them a chance to redeem their honor.
