Name: Sallus Dendellar
Past Title: Curate of Faergol
Current: Member of the Temple of the Hymn

Appearance:
Sallus is an old goat of a man whose tired bones cause him constant discomfort. He always shifts in his seat, never able to find a position that suits him. Sallus uses an ornate cane for support as he walks, and he never stands still for long. The Curate's demeanor is polite and business-like except when performing his official duties, when he becomes somber.

Bio:
Sallus was not the Sect's first choice to replace their fallen Curate in the wake of The Long Night, many years ago in Atalan. His name had been put forward by his peers for consideration due to the way he had taken it upon himself to painstakingly identify all of the tragedy's deceased, then to scribe their names and deeds into a leather bound tome. Numerous Atalan citizens came forth to support him for he had officiated over the funerals of their kin for years, and he had done so with a solemn respect that peasants are typically not granted. Sallus' role as his Sect's leader has sent a clear message to Atalan's masses that the House respected its laity.

The Curate was feared within the Sect though honored outside it. Though the people and members of other Sects praised his service to the city, those drawn to unpredictable aspects of Faergol found Sallus to be rigid and boring. Rumors suggested that these Sect members gather on their own to entertain themselves and Faergol. The Curate at the time firmly stated that these activities were not condoned by the House of Concordant Cycles, especially when the Auxili took notice.

Now decades later within High Reaches, no one is quite sure how or why the old man is still kicking around, except that it must be at Faergol's whim.
