Region of Origin: Kutara
Physical Description: Kutarans are small and slender, with dark hair but varying eye colours. They are swift of foot as well as on horseback.
Stats:
+1 Wisdom
Skilled (+1 Bonus Skill Points Per Level)
Fast Stride: Kutarans receive a plus 20% bonus to movement speed. This stacks with movement speed bonuses from other sources.
Favored Class: Any
Description
The Kutarans have made the steppes, plains, and mountains south of Halmoria their home for millennia. At their heart, they are a tribal, semi-nomadic culture, separated into nine tribes that are at war with each other almost as often as they are with others. The major tribes are the Bairnid, Gherinai, Fhir, Amutad, Nirya, Bagadon, Chumad, and Saiman. The Imperial tribe is Kuarnid.
Small and slender, the Kutarans are known for their skill with and upon horses, with the best cavalry on the continent of the mainland. They are also renowned for their shamans and oracles, and are highly spiritual as a whole.
The Kutarans believe that their skills with a variety of crafts is exceptional, and that their art and poetry can rival any in the known world. Besides their warriors and oracles, bards are also highly recognized within the society, for they can make a lonely night pass quickly and carry a hero’s life on past his death. So long as an individual can make a worthy contribution, he or she is precious. Those who do not contribute are not tolerated.
