Curate of Fraeyal Boethius Commodus

Boethius is a religious zealot, so much so that he even makes the folks back home in Halmoria nervous. Thankfully for them, there is a need for a strong religious influence in the new territories. A former Templar, Boethius is gifted with the ability to approach any challenge in a cold, emotionless manner. Known as being outspoken when it comes to saving the immortal souls of his flock, Boethius does not believe that commoners/lay folk have the necessary insight or education to decide for themselves what is best in life, and that they should, in all things, defer to the wishes of their religious superiors. Upon his arrival in the new territory Boethius made it his first priority to see to shepherding the clearly misguided religious back to the proper way of things. To date, he has met with very little success and has, in most cases, only alienated the locals. However, his unassailable spirit has not allowed him to waver one bit in his belief that the people of Torica and Eramere are in dire need of saving from themselves. Though Caius is a Lethite and his wife a disciple of Luscient, Boethius has had his hands full providing a proper religious education to their children, making sure that when they return to the Empire, they will not be lost and confused as those they have grown up around.

Stern and unyielding, Boethius is, at the core, a very wise and insightful man. He has the uncanny ability to see plans within plans and is convinced that there is still a great deal of politicking going on here in the new territory, even if those around him do not see it. Many of Lord Gravius’ Legionnaires still turn to the Curate for religious counsel. Some were even on hand during a minor uprising, when Boethius wound up demonstrating skills honed in his days as a Templar. The result was that Boethius became both more feared, and more respected.

Boethius is of moderate stature. He is a contemporary of Lord Gravius, though no longer a peer. Boethius is unrelenting in his adherence to propriety and religious doctrine, but strives his best (usually with success) to be tolerant of the various dogmas. When in doubt however, he is known to rely on falling back on Fraeyal dogma to make decisions for the people he feels he is responsible for.
