The Daiobi Desert of Eramere is harsh and unforgiving, with sweeping planes of golden sand, high dunes, and areas of dry, cracked mud that were once lake beds. The vegetation ranges from low scrub to the occasional stubborn tree. Various forms of cacti and other succulents dot the landscape. Dry rocky areas provide good cover for some of the wildlife, which includes innocuous lizards, birds, and insects as well as the more deadly giant scorpions and sand snakes.
Some say the area was once a lush rainforest, and it's inhabitants lived a life of comfort and leisure. The legends say there was once lots of food, and the creatures were able to live in relative harmony with each other. Eventually Chorav came to the area, and the Faergol worshiping people brought His eye to the land. With his twisted humor, Faergol decided to amuse himself by removing one element from the rainforest. Water. The wildlife rapidly depleted, and creatures that lived in the forests left or died. The Chorav and some other hearty races are all that remain today.
