Description: Velkan was tall for a Halmorian man. He had bright red hair and deep blue eyes which are usually narrowed. Velkan is a battle hardened man who never smiled and rarely spoke about his history. He would have been handsome if one could get past his overwhelmingly intimidating presence. His voice was horse and rough like sandpaper, as if he spent a long time screaming and had never fully recovered.

Bio: Velkan's past was a mystery to everybody except himself. It is said that he was born and raised in Halmoria in the slums, raised by a single mother. Little was known of what specifically caused Velkan to leave Halmoria, only that, Velkan was the newest member of the Frothing Otter staff. Like so many others, Velkan found himself staying in the Otter as a guest when he first arrived in Eramere. Night after night he would wake from new nightmares screaming. It was Maggie May who would enter his room to ensure he was well. At first she thought the man a lunatic, however, she began to see that he was truly plagued. While Velkan never told her of what he may have seen, she had heard him speak while sleeping and has been able to piece together the horrors for herself. She asked him to stay on staff and many nights the two could be heard in the bar making any kind of small talk to prolong Velkan's waking hours before he had to return to his horrors. It is with extreme gratitude that Velkan so fiercely protects Maggie May and everything that was hers. Most travelers simply knew to stay out of his way, lest they end up being tossed through something solid.

Velkan is thought to have died in the Fall of Atalan to a number of vary large dragons.
