These peaks seem to be the most subdued of all the mountain ranges in Eramere, likely resulting from eons of weathering at the surface. The Silentfire Range is said to be the oldest chain of mountains in Eramere. The ancestral home of the Zvarkglar, these peaks are amongst the easiest mountains to explore according to some travelers. The old roads and paths cut by the Rwokglar in times past can make the mountain range the most accessible - when the access points can be found. However, where most mountains are dangerous because of the remoteness, the Silentfire Range's danger comes from the myriad of creatures and denizens that have fallen upon the range in the absence of the military might of the Rwokglar.
The caldera of Silentfire Peak is avoided by all, with the ever present smell of sulfur making it unbearable to stay near for any length of time. This, combined with occasional tremors and very small eruptions, make the Silentfire Peak an inhospitable place. Most avoid this place because of the danger, but the Haerkglar once avoided this place because of the haunting stories in their past. Now, such is rarely the case, with their rediscovery of the Skolden'fel Stand Fortress.
