The Mystwood Alliance was formed in 3079EC, in response to the growing need for druids to take a more active role in the world in the years since the Overseers stopped responding to clerics. It is a loose alliance connecting six disparate druid circles, spread out across Eramere.
Circle of Storms - A group of Druids dedicated to Niomae and Lilianthe, they can often be found near bodies of water or in storm-wracked areas. They have a general focus on nurturing and uplifting, but their mastery over storms and the power therein makes them a group not to be trifled with. It is said that each year in early spring many of their members will make their way to Daggershard Island, where they hold a Moot in an undisclosed location. Rumors abound that there's a powerful relic of the overseers hidden within.
Circle of Renewal - As the fire sears the forest, it germinates the seed. Or so this group likes to say. The druids of this circle see themselves as the cleansing fire that clears the dead wood and makes room for new growth. Sometimes their actions can be as innocuous as tilling a field, and at other times they can be as monstrous as torching a village. Most common folk avoid them when they can.
Circle of Balance - A circle comprised of one, this 'group', which is 'lead' by a Syl'vae named Ime'el, is dedicated to Medius. 'They' seek to reduce tensions between the many other circles, and help resolve matters in peaceful ways.
Circle of Calm - Comprised of druids who worship Fraeyal, members of this group are well known for the tranquility they practice. Although they are no strangers to the struggles and hardships of life, these druids are stalwart and determined, refusing to allow the world to shatter their peace.
Circle of Earth - More concerned with making sure the citizens of Eramere have food than they are of meeting together, this circle (dedicated to Memnos) rarely gathers anywhere, keeping in contact by word of mouth and the occasional letter. Many are staunch advocates for building a surplus of non-perishable goods. Just in case.
Circle of Rot - Dedicated to Senescia, this circle is possibly the most tightly knit, as the members are not accepted in any of the towns or villages of Eramere. While they are universally despised, even their meanest detractor admits that their ongoing war against the undead is actually a boon. Some say there is something in the swamp they desperately want to destroy.
