Base Classes | Prestige Classes

For every priest that spreads the word of their Overseer through speech or action, there is another who remains within the temple. With a never-ending passion, some seek to increase the strength of their following through research and study, expanding the limits of divine invocations and blessings.

The Channeler is an example of one such person who proves especially adept at this task - the rare example of a scholar also favored by the Overseer they pay homage to. Even though they only practice the Divine, they study all forms of magic in order to improve their insight into the blessings they channel, and to expand its limits where possible.

While Syl'vae and some humans are the most apt to pursue this path, such individuals are not unheard of (even if extremely rare) among the other native races of Eramere.

Spells per Day/Spells Known: When a channeler level is gained, the character gains a new caster level and spells per day as if they had gained a level in a selected spellcasting class.

Divine Spell Failure: Upon gaining this class, the channeler is subject to spell failure from armor and shields, as if the character were an arcane spellcaster.

Bonus Feats: At 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and twice at 10th level, the channeler may choose a bonus feat from a subset of the wizard's bonus feats list. In lieu of selecting a bonus feat, the channeler may instead choose to improve upon one of a select few metamagic feats (if they already possess it), decreasing its increased spell slot cost by one. Both subsets are detailed below.

Improved Channeling: At 3rd level, the channeler's caster level and spell save DCs are increased by one for every spell. At 6th level, the channeler's magic absorption is increased by ten points. At 9th level, both bonuses are doubled.
