Martial arts have many different paths. Some seek to improve their speed and agility, some to do devastating and crippling strikes, but the Iron Body Master has chosen the path of endurance. He seeks to master the art of hardening his body in order to withstand any attack, and thus keeping his organs unharmed. It is said that the experienced Iron Body Master can withstand the kick of a horse, and take a sledgehammer to his stomach without blinking.

Training to become an Iron Body Master, consist of both internal and external training. To master this dangerous art, the student needs to be able to channel his Flow to the area he wants to harden. This is done through various breathing exercises and defensive stances, and can be difficult to master for the unfocused student. The external training involves the student to repeatedly hitting himself, in order to toughen the body. First this is done with the hands, later bags of sand or beans are used, and the experienced students use iron bars.
If this arduous training is not performed correctly and approached with patience, the student will end up hurting himself. By combining the two types of training in its proper way, the Iron Body Master is able to take any hit without getting hurt, yet still he feels the slightest touch to his skin.
